Poems from Mili Baruah
Roses aren't always red &
Violets aren't exactly blue,
In this world full of lies
Smiles are not always true.
Alcoholics are not...
Being good at spelling bees
Aren’t much of a thing to show off anymore
I’ve grown so much taller
But things to show off are disappearing...
Women get discriminated since birth and are treated differently than her brother
But they don't make noise like men!
Women are eve-teased...
She was a wild sparrow,
Her wings craved the open sky.
But, he wanted her in a cage
Locked up and distant
from the erratic sky.
Night is here
And once again,
I am surrounded by grief and Fear.
Those past memories that were once the reason of my smile.
Have now...
