Poems from Gabvegi
Look at us,
sitting in straight rows organized and lined up.
Our seats completely identical, the same tan color.
Only our faces are...
I open my eyes and what do I see?
War, poverty, greed and misery.
Drugs and alcohol are found everywhere
Hiding the fears of those beyond...
There is a box that lies within the woods,
cardboard with a speckled hole,
wet and worn,
four by four,
brown slowly fading to tan.
