Poems from Elizabeth Layfield
A senior in highschool, I am working my way into Culinary school and I intend to open my own cafe. I am an author on the side, I have no publish works yet but I plan to publish some when I am older. I love anime, baking, singing, dancing, writing, and working my way to the top.
Once upon a time,
I thought you were my prince but,
Oh, how I was wrong.
Seeing your face,
Oh what a disgrace.
You lived your life too fast paced,
And let it all go to waste.
You started on the pill,
Don't you...
I cannot see,
The darkness is pulling at me.
Where's my light?
When will anything feel right?
I thought you promised you'd be there for me...
A lone bird sings,
In the distance a bell rings.
On a big hill,
Stands an abandoned wind mill.
All is quiet through the day,
And at night...
In my heart you will find,
A thorn bush grown with time.
Rose buds are here and there,
But not one blooms anywhere.
In my mind you will...
