Poems from Analise Atkins
Day One:
This morning I woke up crying
I miss you
I couldn’t talk to all the well-wishers
I couldn’t even talk to my mom
I miss you
Day Ten...
Rain is powerful
And beautiful
That too
It drips down my window,
Dribbling,
Trickling,
Sometimes
Cascading,
Streaming,
Gushing
Cold rain...
Words roll and tumble through the air
Big words, little words
Words that glow and vibrate
And words that are content to sit there
Filling...
Words sit on my tongue
Words that I can’t verbalize
I want to say them, but I can’t
How do I articulate my feelings?
Blowing pain
Twisting...
Love is patient.
Love is kind.
I've heard it all.
But I don't know if I believe any of it
They should change that
Love should be patient...
