Poems from Amita SANGHAVI
Like those Mumbai locals,
Where you find
Souls clutching poles,
Lives hanging
By their hands,
My thoughts
Squeezing in,
Clutter my mind,...
While touring
Into the distant
Adventurous past,
Gallivanting in the corridors
Where jewels of memories hang,
Of moments spent together,...
Energized I,
Rise unbeaten,
The wonders of courage
Lying deep within,
Awakened.
Un-caged I,
From pre-taught beliefs,
With wide-open wings,...
Watermelon wedge
missed by the crow,
picks pebbles,
in the pitcher, throws.
Once fulfilled,
A wish
Empties me
completely.
How un-loyally mine-
Only unfulfilled wishes
are truly your soulmates
Over lifetimes.
