Zip-lining

Soaring through the air,

heart pounding

and beads of sweat flying from my forehead,

the screaming line above my head,

the air throwing my hair 

and rushing through my clothes,

hundreds of feet flying between my feet and the earth below,

my eyes locking onto the people directly ahead of me 

waiting,

prepared, 

and anxious to catch me as I soared into the final stretch,

My fear had been extinguished,

And replaced with a craving

for more.
