You're Royalty

My mother always told me
You're royalty
But I had so many questions for her like:
How are we royalty but we can't find a place to sleep
How are we royalty but we don't have any money
We went from riches to rags
From having bags of J's to having salvation army bags
Our blasphemous belittling of something so real called life broke us
It's clear to see that materialistic things are like
Tribulations God can take away any second

You're royalty
A soothing eargasm as if it's poetry
But it never took the pain away
It never took away the trials I went through everyday
My faith in my Savior started to fade
As depression and sadness invade
Making a lot of money is what motivate
Me
Although I'm 15
The things that I've seen
Shouldn't be seen by a person of

You.Are.Royalty
If my future self could talk to me
She would say:
"You are royalty babygirl
You know the ins and outs of this world
Even though all of the things you've went through
You know how it feels to be in a poor man's shoes
Purple robes laced with gold seams
Confidence and money as big as out dreams
Is what reminds us of royalty
And when that time comes we'll do as we please
So when they see us they'll know that you're royalty."
