Your state of denial

2 Timothy 2:15

15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God,

a worker who does not need to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the word of truth.

Can’t say I did not tell you, can’t say you did not know

Somewhere in your mind you could not accept

Your state of denial seems to lead you by the nose

and although you’re kind you seem so inept

Can’t say I did not try although not too hard

I kept my head above the clutter of confusion

Now you wonder why I don’t play the part

and go straight ahead to forgone conclusions?
