Your Heart is a Mast

To live for just anything is simply too vast!
A heart needs direction.
A heart is a mast,
Life is a sailing ship, and
Direction - the wind
That gives a push to the mast
And begs a life to begin.

The ocean is open for the boat to come through,
But it's safe in the harbor,
Tied firmly to
The sturdy old dock of
What's seen, and what's known.
Can you expect such a boat
To face the ocean alone?

Go loosen the ropes that keep the boat anchored there.
Let the wind of direction
Fill the mast with it's air.
Send the boat off on
A wave of its dreams,
To face bravely the storms
Of the unknown, and unseen.
