A Young Mother

My mother way young

when she gave labor to me

she took all the pain

and other people could see

she raised her kids

like any mother would

regardless of the age

she did all she could.

This day I thank my mother

for being so brave

she loved me a lot, and that all that I care

Guide that inspired this poem:

Thank you to all our mothers for being unselfish and giving up your own freedom and life to have us. I know this culture tells you that raising kids is dumb and a career is better and you're too good for it, but the future generations desperately need motherly love and care and we needed you and we are grateful to you for giving of yourself so we could be here and have wonderful mothers like you.
