You See Green

Oh! You see green

Before you see love

You swore that summer

Came before spring

You want a 7.86 carat diamond ring

You want a fervent laborer

Not a sweet lover

And you create an obscene scene

When a lost dove

Touches your shoulder

Greenbacks are not everything

Summer must come after spring

It is much better for the birds

It is not fun for the nerds

You see green

Before you see red

Love is nice and clean

How sweet to dream in bed

Not on a hard floor

Close to a broken door

Money is not everything

Winter must come before spring

How sweet it is

Shush! Please enjoy the breeze.
