You may

Fri, 06/12/2015 - 03:48 -- Olii371
You may taunt me,
when I fall or
when I trip on a rock.
You may laugh,
while I cry or
make sounds when
I walk.
You could talk about me
behind my back and say
hurtful words to my face,
but you will never break my heart.
Like stick and stones,
that break peoples bones your words
will never hurt me.
Like sugar and spice
that taste very nice,
I will continue to be sweet.
I will stand up for myself,
and for what is true
because I have always
been taught to.
