You and Me

Not what you can do for me

Not to serve my desire

But because of what I see

Because of what you are

Because of what you do

Because of what I can do for you

Not to serve my purpose

Not to be what I want

Not ‘I’. Nor ‘we’.

You and me.

You - what you are. What you need.

Me. What we can do for each other.

You - needing a shoulder and a shelter

Me - being that shoulder and your shelter

You - being yourself, always

Me - needing the same.
