YOU let me go when I was a child. YOU let me cry.

YOU left me and went away for miles. YOU made me want to die.

YOU were not a mother. YOU gave me to my wonderful Dad.

YOU left and were replaced by another. YOU will never again make me sad. 

YOU cannot take away my smile. YOU will have to see that now I am fine. 

YOU haven't seen me in awhile. YOU never really were that kind.

YOU may not be in my life anymore, but I guess YOU never really were.
