Ye Are The Salt

If I recall correctly

And if I’m wrong, please, do correct me Jesus’ disciples travelled relentlessly

To spread the gospel they’d been allowed to see

Because God freed them from their personal hells

“The function of freedom is to free someone else.”

But, Allowing ourselves to sit back and listen of how our saviour

Died on the cross to dissolve our sins and preserve our Favor

Would be the easiest way for us, as salt, to lose our savor.

"We talk of the Second Coming; while half the world has never heard of the first."

We know the word of God, verse by verse

So why don't we tell others at their worst?

If you refuse to profess the Gospel because you can’t overlook their sins,

Remember, “There are cracks in everyone…that’s how the light of God gets in.”

In order to do our job and to do our job right

We must let our light shine everywhere, and let it shine bright.

If “your heart goes out to them”

Send it as far as it will reach

Ship it across the world, to everyone in need

Use the overnight shipping, even if there is a fee

Because the price to pay for oblivion to the Word is eternity.

Those who are ignorant of Jesus’ teachings Their situation is grim

“Because God has made us for Himself, our hearts are restless until they rest in Him.”

To be His disciples, and the light, and the salt

"We must also be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God."

Our missionaries, evangelists, and bishops, They fight the good fight.

Because they have but one candle of life to burn,

And they would rather burn it out in a land filled with darkness

Than in a land flooded with light"
