Worship

John 4:24

24 God is spirit, and the people who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

When I was hungry ….

What is pure worship? Isn’t it true Love Magnified?

It has nothing to do with self, but is a gift through you to others

Christ reaching out truly to the scarred and petrified

to bring love and goodwill so to remove fears, that smother

Worshipping is a way of Life, a song tuned in the heart

Life’s flower in the desert proclaiming truth in loneliness

An ever glowing light that tears darkness apart

to soothe the starving hearts in their only-ness

Worship is giving hope where almost none is found

It is filling the hand that reaches out for food

Maybe giving clothes to the victims lost in sound

or visiting the clan, that is paying our sin’s dues

Worship pleases God. Obedient lives singing

His everlasting song through the things we do

Believe it or not, there is nothing left to bring Him

except our gift of silence as He speaks to me and you

Maybe Love is not at all what it seems to me

The bible by now should be engrained permanently

Maybe the answer is … to let myself be

fully lost in others in their pains and uncertainties

Maybe Love has become to us intriguing ways of liking

Maybe we embrace it … as a state of mind

that turns off and on and thus makes it exciting

without the call of sacrifice or the tie, that binds
