Words are words

Words are words

2nd Tim. 1:7 “For God did not give us a Spirit of fear,

but a Spirit of power and love and self control”

Words are cast within our mind and seldom change in meaning.

Once you know a word ... it means just what it says.

The problem is that meaning ... can be different to others

And open up a different world at any time of day.

Take the word humility ... to completely forget about self.

How can I understand it ... if I cannot let go of me?

Is not it for certain that I learned to live that “self”?

Words are only words and they can’t set me free.

Take the timidity ... it sounds shy and defeated

But what if it is founded on self-control and love?

Through that power in me ... I’ll never be overheated

Remembering the weakness before blessings from above.

Words are what you say but not the same in comprehension.

What they mean to me is that what counts?

Is it a lot of malarkey ... just to get some attention

to be noticed by all others to fulfill your pride in sound?

Our emptiness helps us tremble ... before God Almighty.

Yet on the other hand proceed in Him in courage.

Power towards the enemy He surely will provide

And self-control towards others who are human bondage.
