I hold myself back

When I try to speak

I am not loquacious flesh

I am a modest mind

I am a mute puppet

These words

Are words I keep

Words I dare not speak

I store them in the pit of my throat

Punching at the seams

Pleading to be let out

But I do not give way

I dare not speak these words that I think
