The Woods

you’ve casted me out
enclosing the space i once was
giving me no air to breath
leaving no place for me

pushing me up against walls
shoving me into the darkness
and burning off my flesh
with those cold dead eyes

I escape to the woods
safe from their uncaring hearts
away from the obtrusive loneliness
away from everyone

finding my way through the woods
I scavenge for warmth
searching for a place I fit
finding fresh unpolluted air to breath

In the infinite space of trees and nature
I find a place, for thats all there is
there is darkness and light
with no difference between them
and the only warmth comes from me

I consider returning to my past
or going forward to find a future
but my worst fears are coming true
im in too deep to find my way back
