Woman Suffrage

Since before the 1800’s women had a dream,
And men walked by head up high with a mocking gleam,
It finally hit the women something they didn’t ever realize,
That is the one little vote they couldn’t have like those guys,
This idea upset the women and they started to put up a fight,
But men fought back stating that this just isn’t right,
The marriage, the family, the true woman would be destroyed by the Political World,
But by these theories women laughed with a smile curled,
The women protested their rights day in and day out,
And with all this hard work a new form of law came about,
Not just a law a greater law in the Constitution,
The Nineteenth Amendment is well known today because of all women’s contribution,
Today in the twenty-first century women are treated as equal,
Women are happy men are happy let’s hope there’s not a sequel.
