To Withhold

They'll never know how hard it is
to see her here while he's somewhere unfound.
It kills her to leave words unspoken
At times, though, she doesn't have a choice.
The truth could change everything, for better or for worse, she’ll never know before it happens.
A bridge she will not burn, not now, perhaps never.
Impossible is the word!
To sacrifice something so important when it seems there's more of a chance that this thing may die before it has a chance to live!
A thing to be easily unrequited.
Perhaps only the bravest walkers can become the most foolish lovers...
Or so it would seem.
So for now she has decided.
For as long as she can bear it
until the last second before it kills her
the truth may have to stay undiscovered.
