The Wish

A thousand cranes, a thousand stars

Folding and writing, hoping and sighing

One wish is all I want but common sense

Is out the window and the smart things

To wish for are not what’s tugging at my heart

Money, fame, and successful dreams

Have no meaning to me as my brain has no

Power in this realm,

Here, it’s all up to my heart

And the heart wants what it wants.
