As days go by, the skies seem grey, and even more with passing days.
The clouds, they flow with April's rain, replenishing this mental pain.
Yet the earth's pulse and energy have a tendency of reminding me,
That life's about the greater things, where imagination spreads its wings.
When a prize is won or a goal is met, when a life so precious is being spent.
Where soon, in time, we all will know, there's no place better for us to go
Than where we're loved and not alone, and so few places are there to roam
Where all are one and for one cause, where peace is love and love's the law.
When the feeling is there, but it's hard to tell where, there's a rule that you all should know,
And that's to take every day in a positive way, and to let the peacefulness flow.
Of course it will be hard, but with an over sized heart, the task at hand will come
As the chorus sings out with so little a doubt that all that is sung is a hum.
Some day far, far away, when the creases engrave, on my old, weathered, wisdom-filled face,
I'll remember the time when I'm writing this rhyme reminding us to live with grace.
As the clouds clear the sky, not a raindrop in sight, and your mind clears of thoughts that you've had,
You'll sit in the light with an insight so bright when you realize life's not so bad.
