Wings

Give me wings and I'll take off

far up in the sky.

I'll fly until I'm far away;

until I find the sunrise.

Shoot me down

I dare you.

See what happens next.

I'll fly at you,

around you,

through you,

and behind you.

You'll never know what hit you.

You'll scream in fright and terror,

you'll run as light as a feather.

I'll pick that feather up,

fly high up in the sky,

drop you like a weight,

and let you fall to your fate.

Give me wings and I'll take off

far up in the sky.

I'll find that sunrise and shout:

"You tried to shoot me down;

but look at me now!"
