there was a Big Bang

as you reached into my chest

and cradled my heart

I saw only the rich

dark black at first

then I got fixed on

those eyes

I pierce

your eyes

as we swim

in a deep sea of blankets

with galaxies of freckles

skin on skin

you lead me through

the Milky Way

your touch is radioactive

the way your nuclear fingers

trail my cheek

but you continue to mesmerize me with those

blue and green and brown beauties

the stars shimmer throughout

your mind

I reach for the Big Dipper to catch me

as I fall in

your eyes

want to leave this world for a while

want to intertwine our nerves

want to find my North Star

we visit Mercury and the sun

drips through my veins

you take me to Saturn and

spin me along the rings

as we veer towards

Earth you keep me dancing in

your eyes

want to fold inside your extremities

want to observe all this life

want to find my North Star

the universe was made to be seen by

your eyes
