Wilted Flower

Dont look back

As you walk right by me

As though I never existed

The trail that you left behind

leaves me breathless and in tears

Reminded of the memories that we shared

And as days and weeks drift by

I still love you

The glare off of your ring

blinds me

The smell of your purfume

makes me want you back in my arms

But in the end

It was best

Even though the memories still remain

If only you could understand

that I never meant to hurt you

I only wanted what was best for you

Even if it meant giving you up

And letting you move on

Without me
