Wildfires

You were wildfire.

Someone lit you and left you to burn.

So when i came along,

Your ashes and flaming embers,

landed upon my skin and ignited me.

Your smoke wafted into my lungs

and took my breath away.

I was scorched by flames that were not created by me.

You burned me to the ground with you.

We were wildfire.
