Why Does She Try?

She puts her makeup on, Gets her nails done
Runs the extra mile, keeps it small
So we'll like her, but we don't like her

She thinks she has to try so hard, thinks she has get her own way
She gets up and changes everything, Why does she try so hard
She tries too hard

She goes to the mall, maxes her credit cards
She never has to choose, she buys it all
So we'll like her, but we don't like her

She always tries to try too hard, always tries to bend until she breaks
She gets up and changes everything, Who does she try so hard for?
She tries too hard, does she like her?

She doesn't have to try so hard, she doesn't have to have her way
She doesn't have to get up and change everything,
She doesn't have to try, no she doesn't have to try

I wish she would take her make up off, let her hair fall how it wants
If she takes a breath and looks into her mirror at herself,
She'll see she likes her, because we like her the way she is

I took the Colbie Callait song Try and put it into the perspective of a fellow classmate in a like a school or something, i don't own the central idea of the song Try. I thought it would be interesting to write it from another point of view.
