Why?

Why? Written By: Faith Rushing

Why do things have to be barred?

Why does daddy punch me so hard?

Why can't anyone see?

Why is he beating me?

Mother, save me please!

Can't you see that I am down on my knees?

Mother, help me please!

Can't you see that dad is not pleased?

Why does noone care?

I am asking for help here.

Why do you ignore me?

It's not my fault my dad's so mean.

Friend, save me please!

Can't you see that I am down on my knees?

Friend, help me please!

Can't you see that I am alone?

I am alone.

Noone cares.

My clothes worn.

Everyone stares.

leave me alone!

Leave me be!

Can't you see that I am on my own?

Stop laughing at me!

Why do they laugh?

Why are people so cruel?

Why do I feel so a draft?

Why do I feel like such a fool?

I am alone.

Here I wait.

On my own.

I'm late.

Get home past 9:00

Dad yells

Bang! Goes my eye!

Bang! Goes me heels!

Bang! Goes my head!

Bang! I am dead.

Why are you crying mother?

Why now?

Why are you crying friends?

Why?

Why didn't you save me mother?

Now, you feel guilty.

Why didn't you help me friend?

Now, you feel weary.

It's not your fault,

That daddy was angry.

It's not your fault,

that I had to worry.
