Adrenaline

Grab my jacket, grab my keys
Sneak down the stairs, a step creaks: Freeze!
Listen for shuffling, all is clear
Resume my tiptoe, the door is near
Grab the knob, turn it to the side
Open it slightly and see my ride
Swing it wider, take a step out
My parents will kill me without a doubt
Close the door with a silent click
Run to my friend's car, quiet and quick
Hop in the back and she starts to drive
It's my four close friends plus me makes five
As we drive around town, we laugh and tell jokes
Then we stop at the store and we all get Cokes
We chat some more and after an hour or two
I sneak back in- My parents don't have a clue
Climb into my bed feeling the adrenaline
I cannot wait to do this again
