Who Cares?

She might have turned out differently

if anyone said something when she was young.

If a family member

or a teacher

or a friend

had cared enough to mention the bruises

and the anguish.

They could see the agony

she went through every day.

But they said nothing.

She ended up living.

But died inside.

She hates everyone

and doesn’t possess trust for others.

She is self-destructive

and dotes on suicide.

She can’t have relationships.

Or not healthy ones at least.

She has the perfect making for a psychopath.

And still, nobody cares.
