Who Am I

I am the one crumbling inside.

I am the one who hides in fear.

I am the one with too many masks to count.

I am the one that wants to be free,

To be me,

To live.

I am fighting a battle.

I am fighting it for you.

I am fighting it for the world.

I am fighting it for me.

But you don't see.

But you wouldn't want to see

My battle scars are too concealed.

My bravery will never be shown on a wall or a museum.

My stakes are too high to give up.

My will is fading.

Am I alone?

Am I the only one fighting?

Who I am?

I am the average person,

With a smile on my face,

I put on a role.

Look into my eyes,

Maybe you can see through me.
