White-out

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.

White-out (Correction fluid)

Of all the thoughts I ever had that were not worth the keeping

who will methodically wipe them out?

Where is an inspiration ... if only in hard work?

Where is the stroke of gentleness in self-admiration?

Is not where the eagles fly the wind always blows

and the path is paved with self-determination?

Without labor and busyness would any survive?

Even the escape from work takes lots of energy.

Think about the effort as a lazy mind contrives

to get all it can get for free in its own synergy.

Drapes before a window keep some privacy.

Walls around the heart are no great defense.

It only keeps in what is not worth the keeping

and dresses all this up under false pretense.

Glasses glued on someone’s nose do not guarantee vision.

Blindness is a definite choice that is not beyond one’s scope.

Most of our encounters … rest on our own decisions

and the resentment of facts has us cling to idle hopes.

Wishes and desires intertwine in one's chosen perception

Wipe them out ... before the Day of judgment?

All the words I ever spoke ... the curses and the creepy

who will make them disappear or forever pay the rent?

Of all the things I ever did ... most done for desire

who will forgive me ... for being such a rat?

For all the hurt I brought ... the pains, the aches, and fire

who will forsake me ... or who will forget?

Take my past and let it be ... cover it with white-out

Yes the color red ... is more than good to me

Jesus’ blood sufficient ... that’s what it is all about

enough then said ... as His grace has set me free
