Where is my focus?

Bullies, grades, fees, and GPA's,

Going through high school is like digging our graves.

Keeping up with the latest fassion,

Trying to woo our biggest crushes,

I feel i've had my homework ration.

Clogged hallways creating dramatic rushes,

"Who owns the new red porsche in the parking lot?",

What was his name, that kid that I fought?

When will I Know if its worth it or not?

Where will my knowledge lead me if i gave it a shot?

Why can he do that but then I get caught?

Here in the room I want to learn in,

All I see is apathy and distraction.

I'll study all night and take a test,

All those bullies even mocking a teacher,

But when I get my grades, their not like the rest,

C- for me and the kid who always texts and never pays attention,

Well he's the one who sets the standard.

Why is that?

Why is it that when it's the work that matters but when you get a job all they want are results?

Is the system corrupt?

Who are you to judge my intuition and creativity?

Vangough could't make a nickel based on the times standards and now he's worth millions.

Is that where my dinner is going?

To pay for the schools that should be available and free for the public and those in need?

Perhaps the focus should be on education and creation,

And less on fees, grades, and GPA's.

I have known a lot of people who are mistreated, judged, or lead down the wrong path because they dont have supprt to find interest or they get blamed for something that wasnt them.
