"Where im from"

“Where I’m from”

by:Johanna Delgado

I am from a black and white ball,

I am from kicking others by accident.

I am from shaking people hands,

When we finish the game.

I am from running up and down.

I am from making goals in the net,

I am from seeing people scream,

and passing the ball to the rest.

I am from tasting the sweat on my face,

tasting the cold water during break,

I could taste my dry mouth

when I was playing around.

I am from running back and forth,

getting through defense,

to shoot to the goal.

I am from hearing people cheer.

I could hear people calling my name.

I would think before,

I heard the referee whistle, and say

“We’re done with the game!”
