Where I Come From

Location

I come from backyard adventures,

And big dogs,

And mud pies made to share.

I come from loving arms,

Close family ties,

A sister who is my closest friend.

I come from plane rides to the east coast,

Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins galore,

And I come from tearful goodbyes.

I come from barbecues with friends,

Mommy’s famous been casserole,

And stories I’ll never forget

I come from bible studies,

And waiting for Sundays or Wednesdays,

And the joy of Christ.
