Where Did She Go?
I see a girl before my eyes
Is she the same girl from years past?
She has grown quiet, her heart so tame
Who is this girl and how long will she last?
The girl I knew was full of smiles
This girl just accepts hard fact
She could stand up to many trials
This girl comes along, with tears intact
She used to wear what was beyond belief
Now her arms bear a thousand marks
She now wears sleeves to cover her relief
She confines herself within the dark
The light has faded out of her eyes
She has changed as we all know
She has left, has abandoned her disguise
Where did she go?
