When your world freezes over

When your world freezes over like the tears from your eyes

Like a call from the doctor or when your mother cries

To feel your heart sink like a stone thrown in anger

To the depths of dark seas, as if tied to an anchor

Rain drops on roses remind you of death and how any second could be your last breath

How do you learn to just be ok as if everything’s fine now that you’ve gone away

I want to throw something or scream out to god, but would it even matter now that you’re gone.

Would anything matter now that you’re gone?

That nothing is left except for a song

If nothing is left, I’ll sing to the stars

In hopes it’ll find you wherever you are

I won’t say goodbye and no one can make me

I’ll see you again when they finally take me
