When You Love Someone

I loved a boy,

who loved himself.

With my arms right around his body,

i felt cold.

He kept me at a distance, I complied. Lovestruck.

I only wished for love in return,

to feel home in his arms.

He was not taught how to love, but to steal it. to

shatter fragile, young, giving, hearts.

I still hope, one day

quietly, for even a second, he will

remember how to love someone else. Remember

me.
