When? i was a child ...

1 Corinthians 13:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. But when I became an adult, I set aside childish ways.  Still growing

When I was a child I often thought and dreamed.

Useless as it seems now that I am “fully” grown.

No turning back the clock as the spring seems long gone.

It appears that time stopped too quick and left me half-done.

Purpose left long ago and the selfish took its place

Disguised as some concern for the human race

Self is in the middle as a vacuum pulling in

all the people into a riddle to live by “might have been”

Is there a way of changing the condition that I’m in?

If in love with rearranging all the emptiness within?

Maybe that is why I’m busy with no time to spare.

All seems ragged and fuzzy with nothing to compare.

Moving on while standing still and wondering where I’ll be.

Sleeping on the windowsill so enslaved to poor old me.

Daylight comes and then the night not noticing the day’s glory.

maybe the start of the purpose is the “Old, Old Story”
