What's Left

You took the best of me,
Then left the rest of me.
Hollowed out and broken,
Regretting every word I'd spoken,
I see you walk away,
Even as I beg you to stay.
You take a piece of my soul,
Where nothing can fill the hole.
This unforgivable theft,
You leave me to deal with what's left.

This is really great! I love the rythmic sequence and the rhyme scheme. It flows really nicely, and it's one of those poems that feels wonderful to read out loud. I love seeing poems put together in a mature way such as this. I look forward to reading more of your work!
