What's In a Degree?

Fri, 07/01/2016 - 19:22 -- jhefner

What's in a degree for you and me,

Time well spent or time merely lost?

How high a fee, how great a cost!

What's the reward? What can we be?

We strive to be the bosses of our selves,

yet our only credentials are not the plaques on our shelves.

It's our devout beliefs and strong convictions

that in the harder times can be most potent munitions.

After all, it is a war we fight.

For, our posterity's prosperity we have in sight.

No longer just for you and me,

everyone will profit from this degree!
