What's Beneath the Skin

It's what's on the inside that counts

As everyone has been told

But there are few that truly know

The beauty of the Soul

Hideous

Weak

Four-Eyes

Zit-Face

These are but a few

Of the names I've been called

But I am more than my reflection

More than this Shell

I am:

A learner

A teacher

An artist

A musician

A poet

A novelist

A creator of worlds

I am complicated

I am odd

I am quaint

These are but a few

Of the names I call myself

Although no one word comes close

To describing any Soul

I think one word comes close:

Me
