What Was I to Her

Location

What was I to her,

 or she to me;

I only wanted less,

you only wanted more:

The rips and burns that

Destroyed and obliterated

Anything that I could’ve,

Anything that you would’ve,

Everything that you

And only you, understood.

But,

It wasn’t me that fell;

It was we that decided;

It was we that killed;

It was we that you wanted,

Lied, cheated, erased, repeat

Make me feel nothing.

But

This confusion overwhelming

And my eye sockets swelling

The hate. The deceit.

Do you even know what you’ve done to me?

But

Calm and steady.

Ready to finally escape.

With these memories,

I shall carry

That all you wanted was his money,

And that all you never wanted

 was me.
