What they never taught us..

Location

They never taught us in school what we were supposed to do when we woke up in the morning and couldn't even look oursleves in the mirror.
They never taught us that what's inside matters.
They made us feel like homework was the law and if we failed a test we would go to academic hell. Little did we know we were already in an self installed prison.
Gates all around, all we wanted was to feel like we could love our reflection at the end of the  day. They never taught us that these days would come, let alone teach us how to overcome, so we were made to believe that we weren't good enough.
They never taught us that these days were temporary, that someday someone would come along that would make us wonder why we ever felt this way.
They never taught us that self love was the bomb that would set off our unconditional love, that the lights in our hearts had been so dim but would shine so much brighter within knowing somone believed in us.
I want to change the way we teach.
