What made me who I am now

I am the one who was once in pain;

My family thought I was in vain;

I was just ashamed for my lack of brainpower;

I was drowning in a heavy rain shower;

I stood up one day,

Threw that load I felt away;

I gazed at the sun,

For now my moment to shine has just begun;

I took my time to focus,

For my brain had to be in locus;

Pushing myself to become successful;

Gaining intelligence is why I'm greatful.
