What It's Like (Everlast Parody)

When **** gets home from school she rushes straight to her room,

Her mom says hon, go get your homework done, your dad will be home soon,

At half past four he stumbles through the door, with anger in his eyes,

Too much whiskey and gin, she puts her earbuds in so she won't hear the cries.

God forbid you ever had to learn to cover up a bruise,

'Cause then you really might know what it's like to be abused.

Then you really might know what it's like,

Then you really might know what it's like,

Then you really might know what it's like,

Then you really might know what it's like.

I know this girl named Grace, after she cleans her face, she's starin' in the mirror,

Obsessively looking at herself, getting fat is her greatest fear,

She knows she's gotta lose ten pounds, she knows she's gotta lose it quick,

So she sticks two fingers down her throat and chokes until she gets sick.

And all the textbooks say that's wrong, she knows, she's read them front to back,

But she ate two ice cream cones too many, so she had to act.

And God forbit you find yourself bent over that toilet bowl,

'Cause then you really might know what it's like to lose control.

Then you really might know what it's like,

Then you really might know what it's like,

Then you really might know what it's like,

Then you really might know what it's like.
