What If

Sat, 04/27/2019 - 20:19 -- Nasa

what if I flip:
Give in to the lure of the dark side
Explore the beauty of the whispered
Bask in the loft of lust
Sink in the shallows of sin
Conveniently forget I am light
And embraced darkness
What if....

What if I said no to the Father,
Knowing away from him is death
Choose to give in to The Liar
he seem to present the lushest
side:
Pleasure, relief, fame, wealth
Sounds like a place to be.
What if..

What if the thoughts that floods my heart recently aren't dangerous grounds,
What if the voice I hear constantly urging me to explore:

"Make the most of your twenties
Step out there,
Live the life,
Be the Queen,
Have a story!
Do nothing like what you are now."

What if this voice is the real thing?
What if...

What if my mind is so messed up
What if my days out of communion has drown out all the love I have for Him
What if this is You showing me I am not rooted,
What if these are not just thoughts,
What if I am far gone,
What if these are just what ifs
What if is not...
