What I Want My Words To Do

What I want my words to do to you

Is make you question society

Question why people die almost every week in Kansas City

The streets running red with blood

Question why most children are abused by their family members

When they should be the ones protecting them

I want my words to help you understand that you don't need acceptance

That people who judge you are insecure about themselves

But if you want acceptance

I want my words to greet you with open arms

I want my words to illustrate life's beauty

Because life is too short to just exist

When you should be living

I want my words to expose the truth

And not comfort people with lies

Like how fifty percent of marriages don't last

Or how most people go to church

Because they want the golden ticket to heaven

And not because they truly believe that Jesus died for our sins

But if your scared to face the truth

I want my words to help you find it
