What I’ll Never Do

A warm embrace

After a long day.

Your breath on my face

Telling me it's ok.

That's how you can make me fall

Because that's what I'll never make.

That I'm safe with you

And you're all that I need,

When I'm feeling blue

An let my sorrows bleed.

That's how you can make me hurt

Because that's what I'll never feel.

The memory so deep,

You resting on my arm

Us falling to sleep,

Far from all harm.

That's how you can make me moan

Because that's what I'll never keep.

Our final moment

As you walk away.

All the letters we sent,

The joy of each day.

That's how you can make me grieve

Because that's what I'll never have.

After all's long and lost,

How's I'll still remember

When our paths crossed

That autumn in September.

That's how you can make cry

Because that's what I'll never do -

Love you.
